As I’ve researched and checked lots of dish racks in the market, folding dish drying rack is the cheapest so far I’ve seen.
You can buy the dish rack as low as $11 or a maximum price of $25. This is way too cheap compared to the likes of over the sink or on the sink dish rack which costs up to $90.
2. No dish tray
Most of the foldable dish rack comes without a dish tray or dish drainer board, this is something that I don’t really like about the kitchen rack.
Only very few of them come with a plastic dish tray or drainboard.
So if you’re planning on buying a foldable dish drying rack, you have to be sure that it comes with a drainboard else you have to buy it along with the kitchen rack.
Drainboard doesn’t cost at all, you can get a good plastic drainboard or dish tray for about $5 or maybe $7.
3. Good for camping
If you’re looking for the best dish drying rack for your camping, I recommend a foldable dish rack.
Aside from collapsible dish drying rack, this is another type of rack that can easily be carried about, and it doesn’t weight at all.
The collapsible dish rack is way too small compared to the folding dish drying rack, it mostly can contain up to fifteen dishes, bowls, or cups as to what I’ve seen.
So if you’re planning on going camping and needed to have a dish rack with you, please consider getting yourself a folding dish rack. They are very lightweight and can contain lots of dishes.
4. The folding dish rack is two-tier
So far I’m yet to see a folding dish drying rack that is one tier, almost all of them I’ve seen are 2 tier dish rack.
The first rack for dishes, while the second or the flat rack is for bowls, cups, cutting board, or other kitchenwares.
For the fact that most folding dish rack is 2 ties, I recommend it to those looking for a kitchen rack that can contain lots of dishes, bowls, fruits, and vegetables, etc.
5. No utensil holder in a folding dish drainer
This one feature major feature is a lack of a folding dish rack. There’s no utensil holder and if you want to dry your utensils, you’ll have to lay them in a vertical way if not they will fall out from the dish rack.
Some people are put off by this, but you can use the lower rack for your kitchen utensils or better still get yourself a wooden folding dish rack.
Some of them come with a utensil holder for spoons, forks, knives, etc.
I prefer to use the lower rack for cutting board or other long kitchenwares.
6. Mostly available in stainless steel or wooden folding dish rack
It’s so hard to find a foldable dish drying rack that is made of plastic unless it is collapsible. Having checked in almost six stores, all I see are folding dish rack stainless steel and wooden folding dish rack.
It’s so rare to see foldable dish rack that is made plastic, mind you I didn’t say it is impossible but rather very rare to see such.
For me, I prefer the folding dish rack stainless steel , so easy to clean and look pretty much premium if you get the quality ones.
7. Folding dish drying rack is lightweight
In terms of weight, the folding dish rack is pretty much lightweight and can only weigh a maximum of 3.00 pounds.
When you try to compare it with thick heavy stainless steel body of over the sink dish, hanging rack or on the counter dish drying rack, you’ve got to see that it weighed nothing.
Collapsible and folding dish drying rack are the most lightweight dish rack you can get in the market today.

The rack is made of bamboo or wood as most people will call it, is very large in size. It holds up to a maximum plate of thirteen on the first layer, and bowls, cups, cutting board, etc on the second layer.
HBlife wooden folding dish rack is very strong, durable, and sturdy, not only that, there’s a utensil holder.
This is one feature that lacks on almost folding dish rack I’ve seen so far.
Some people might worry if a wooden folding dish rack does last longer.
The answer is yes, but only if you buy a good quality bamboo dish drying rack. And I can assure you that HBlife bamboo folding dish rack is among them.
The only thing I didn’t like about the rack is that one will have to buy an extra dish tray or mat or maybe place it onto the sink to drain water from the rack.
2. Bambusi Collapsible Wooden Dish Drying Rack

There are fourteen available slots for plates or dishes on the upper layer, with the second layer suitable for cups, bowls, cutting boards, and long long cutlery.
One disadvantage of using this rack is that there’s no utensil holder, you’ve to make use of the lower rack to drain your utensils.
The best way to use Bambüsi folding dish rack is by placing it on the kitchen counter or the sink, water drip down from the rack and down to the sink.
Better still get a mat drainer or plastic dish tray for it.
3. Deluxe Chrome-Plated Steel Foldable Dish Rack

A 2 tier dish rack, the upper is for dishes, while the lower rack is for small kitchenware.
You can also use it for your fruits and vegetables, and the best part is the dish tray. I love the fact that Neat-O included a plastic dish tray to this rack.
There’s no utensil holder on the deluxe chrome-plated steel foldable dish rack, but you can use the lower rack to drain your utensils.

Generally, the dish rack is very strong and durable and featuring-slip rubber feet.
The only disappointment I have with Simple Houseware folding dish rack is there’s no dish tray that came along with the rack.
To use the rack on the kitchen counter, you have to buy a dish tray or better still place on top of the sink.
5. Ohuhu Over The Sink Foldable Rack
