When it comes to buying a dish rack for your kitchen utensils and dishes, the very first question that pops into our head is durability and sturdiness.
If we need a large or small dish rack.
Simplehuman steel frame dish rackscores 9/10 when it comes to a body built and durability. It’s one of the few dish drying racks that I’ve seen that is of quality and premium.
The design simplehuman steel frame dish rack is pretty much fantastic, every section of the dish rack is well built and organized.
Simplehuman dish rack review
This is bestdishrack and I bring you my unbiased review of the popular and beautiful simplehuman dish rack.
Simplehuman steel frame dish rack is made of a stainless steel body, with a plastic dish tray and some other part of the body.
The stainless steel body is one of the fingerprint-proof finish I’ve seen in a dish rack, it resists stains to keep stainless steel shiny.
Not only that, but the stainless steel body in the simplehuman dish rack is also anti-rust, and I can testify that that is pretty much correct.
Having asked some users who have been using simplehuman dish rack for the past one-year plus, said they are yet to experience rusting on the dish rack.
As the rack is made of a premium stainless steel body, cleaning it is very much easy unless it is the dish tray and the swivel spout which might be difficult it the stains hardened.
The rods are very solid, thick in size, and sturdy.
Below the simplehuman dish rack is a hole, through the hole water passes through the dish tray and down to the swivel Spout.
As the rack is on the counter, you don’t have to out there to buy a dish tray. simplehuman steel frame dish rack comes with a dish tray attached to a swivel spout.
Through the swivel spout water drop into the kitchen sink.
Aside from the premium stainless steel body, there are other good features of the simplehuman dish rack.
Simplehuman dish drying rack is very large in size and pretty much flexible. The rack easily holds up to six dishes, ten bowls, and cups.
Not only that, but you can also drain your pans, pots, oven rack, and other kitchen utensils.
On the side of the rack is four hooks. The hooks are made to hold cups or even mugs.
You don’t need to be afraid of the cups will fall over, the hooks are very strong and well built.
No matter how heavy the cups may be, it holds them very tight and they will not fall or drop.
Aside from the hooks, there’s another wine glass holder that is removable. If you want to drain your wine glass, simply attach the wine holder to the simplehuman dish rack.
The wine holder also comes with its dish tray and at least a maximum of three to four big wine glasses can hang on it.
Would they fall?
The answer is no.
The wind glass holder is very strong and sturdy. Didn’t experience any bit of wobbly while using the simplehuman dish rack wine glass holder.
There’s a utensil holder that is in three sections; two are for spoons, forks, etc while the other wooden holder is for knives. There are seven spaces on the wooden cutlery holder to insert your knives.
I’ve always advised that it is good to buy a dish rack with anti-slip feet, be it on the counter dish rack or over the sink dish rack.
Simplehuman dish rack comes with that.
There is an option rubber feet attached to the dish rack. One thing I would like to know is that this very rubber foot on a simplehuman steel frame dish rack tends to make the dish rack to add extra height.
Some may not like it, but I always prefer to have the rubber feet on the dish rack. This is to prevent it from slipping or sliding down the floor. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that one can’t use the simplehuman dish rack without the rubber feet.
Another thing I would like you to know about the on the counter dish rack is that it has an anti-residue hydrophilic coating. This causes water to spread so that the plastic tray dries more quickly and prevents residue buildup.
Please note that simplehuman steel frame dish rack isn’t just for dishes, bowls, pans, pots, cutting boards etc, you can use it to drain your fruits and vegetables. The rack is so large that it contains a large number of fruits or veggies.
Price of simplehuman dish rack
As of the time of writing this blog post, simplehuman steel frame dish rack costs $79 in the market. Some may feel that the dish rack is overpriced, how can they buy a dish rack for such amount of money.
However, the truth is that it worth every penny of it.
I didn’t write this review for the sake of writing, but rather the worth and quality that comes with them on the counter dish rack.
It is one of the best values for the money dish rack in the market today.
I’m not advertising the rack for simplehuman or the simplehuman dish rack, I don’t work with them at all. I saw the dish rack, love the body and the design, bought it, and love it more. Decides to share it on this website.
Note quality products don’t come for cheap.
Maintaining simplehuman steel frame dish rack
This is very compulsory, maintaining the simplehuman dish rack.
I see lots of comments on how this very dish rack which costs up to $80 and said to be of anti-rust stainless steel didn’t last up to three months before I see rust on the body.
The most common reason for this is because lack of maintenance.
You see where it is written that this very dish rack is antitrust, so therefore you didn’t bother to take care of it. After a few months, you see rust on the body, you begin to lament that it is of poor quality.
All through my whole life, I’ve been using stainless steel dish rack, except for a few times I bought plastic and wooden dish drying rack. If you clean your dish rack and make sure it is always dry, you don’t have to worry about rusting.
I wash my dish rack three times in a week, after drying my dishes and cutlery, I don’t leave them inside the rack. I put them inside the kitchen cabinet or counter and dry the dish rack immediately.
By doing so, I prevent it from rusting.
Most people hardly wash their dish rack or even to dry it, and that ie very wrong. As long as there’s water on the racks, be rest assured that with time, it will begin to rust even if the body is well coated.
Simplehuman dish rack isn’t the type of dish rack you wash in the dishwasher, is so large, and can’t enter into the dishwasher.
So to wash or clean it, you’ll have to use a brush and detergent. After washing, use a soft cloth to dry it and this includes the dish tray and swivel spout.
Please Note: simplehuman dish rack is quite different from a simplehuman compact dish rack.
The compact dish rack is smaller in size, and which is measured at 15 x 11.9 x 7.7 inches, while the standard one is measured at 21.8 x 20.2 x 14.3 inches.
There’s no wine glass holder for a simplehuman compact dish rack, while the standard rack featured a wine glass holder.
Then lastly the compact disk rack is cheaper compared to the standard one, with the being $49 at the time of writing this post.
What I don’t like about the dish rack
Simplehuman steel frame dish rack is quite big or large in size, but I hate the fact that it only features six hook rack for dishes.
I’ve seen lots of on the counter dish rack that is of the same size that has up to ten hooks or rods for dishes.
Another feature that I don’t really like is the anti-slip feet. It is not one of the best or the worst I’ve seen so far.
I don’t see the reason why the anti-slip rubber feet increase the height of the rack and not only that, it looks so cheap. I’ve seen lots of good quality anti-slip rubber feet in these cheap dish racks.
What I like about the dish drying rack
The first is the four cup holders. The stainless steel hooks are very strong and durable, can hold the heaviest cup without shaking or wobbly.
Second is the wind glass holder. This also goes with a cup holder, but it includes a dish tray below it.
I really love that design a lot.
The third is the fingerprint-proof coating. I love it so much, and it’s so rare to see such in a dish drying rack. No fingerprint stains on simplehuman dish rack or whatsoever.
Finally the last but not least is the swivel spout and dish tray. They are built in such a way that water freely passes through the dish tray, and down to the swivel spout, and into the kitchen sink with ease.
Do I recommend the simplehuman dish rack?
The answer is yes.
My rating for it is 8.5/10
That’s all I have for now to say about the simplehuman steel frame dish rack, your opinion also matters.
